"Quay" is a painting inspired by the harbor at Charlestown, Cornwall, England.  I had a flat on the hill overlooking the harbor back in the late 70's after I escaped Art College.  It was a wonderful time and I wish it had been painted in Mevagissey, Cornwall, because I love that name and town so much! Many excellent smoked mackerels to be had there!

This is an oil painting on treated paper and is the beginning of my attempts to abstract landscape, in the Saint Ives Painterly tradition.   

I lived and painted in Cornwall England after Art College.
