Sinai Christ Icon
The Sinai Christ is one of the earliest images we have of Jesus, dating from the 6th century, We will be painting this icon using egg tempera on a gessoed wood panel, similar to the way icons were painted in the Byzantine era.
We will have daily classes, lectures, and demonstrations on how to paint using egg tempera. This class is perfect for beginners and well as more advanced artists. We are also able to join with the monks in their daily prayer cycle, making this a beautiful and holy experience.
