Icon Writing Retreat ! Come and join us for another wonderful Icon writing Retreat in sunny Florida! We will be painting the icon of Saint Valentine- just in time for Saint Valentine’s Day!

As always, we will be using egg tempera on a gessoed wood board with 23k gold leaf gilding. Learn more about our beloved Saint Valentine, his life and legend and finish with your own beautiful icon of this popular saint.

An accomplished artist and painter, Christine Hales has exhibited since the 1980"s in NYC, and and Iconographer since the 1990’s, her work is in many public and private collections.

Her paintings are metaphorical, spiritual, and poetic, referencing nature in a way that makes it a felt experience.  Relying on a muted color palette and exquisite compositional skills, Hales work evokes a response that often brings us back to our essential natures.Her Icons are fresh, innovative and deeply moving spiritually.
